S4 Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Guidewire Developer to perform duties requiring the theoretical and practical application of specialized knowledge in insurance domain applications, enterprise software development, and Guidewire platform technologies. This position qualifies as a specialty occupation and requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Detailed Job Duties
The Guidewire Developer will perform the following duties:
Design, develop, and implement solutions using Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter
Customize Guidewire applications using Gosu programming language
Develop and maintain integrations between Guidewire and external systems using web services and messaging
Configure business rules, workflows, and data models within Guidewire
Work on Guidewire Data Model extensions and UI configurations
Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of applications
Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to gather and implement requirements
Support system upgrades, patches, and Guidewire version migrations
Ensure code quality, security, and adherence to development standards
Maintain documentation for technical designs and implementations
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent)
Experience with Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter
Proficiency in Gosu programming language
Strong understanding of insurance domain concepts (P&C insurance preferred)
Experience with web services (SOAP/REST) and integration patterns
Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
Preferred Qualifications
Guidewire certification(s) in relevant modules
Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform
Familiarity with Java and object-oriented programming
Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies
Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
